Meet Your Coaches at M&J Archery Academy
M&J Archery Academy is proudly led by not one, but two highly experienced former National Team coaches. With more than 50 years of combined coaching experience across all levels, Coach Mun and Coach Jeong bring world-class expertise, warmth, and a genuine commitment to every student’s growth - from first-time beginners to elite competitors.
COACH MUN
BAEKWOON MUN
Coach Mun brings extensive expertise and first-hand knowledge of competing and coaching at the highest levels of international archery. He was a member of the 1984 South Korean National Archery Team and is a graduate of Korea National Sport University.
After dedicating several years to coaching youth archery programs in South Korea, Coach Mun has built an extensive international coaching career spanning more than 25 years. He has served as National Head Coach for the Kingdom of Bhutan, Egypt, India, Iran, Kuwait, the Philippines, and Malaysia. During his time in Malaysia, he also helped develop the Malaysian Junior Olympic Team.
Coach Mun has participated in and served on coaching staffs at some of the world’s most prestigious international competitions, including the Asian Games, the Mediterranean Games, the World Archery Championships, the World Youth Championships, and the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012.
Coach Mun is a World Archery (formerly known as FITA) certified Head Coach. He holds USA NTS National Training System Level 4 certification, the highest coaching credential in the United States system, as well as World Archery coaching certifications for Levels 1, 2, and 3.
Whether you are picking up a bow for the first time or training to compete internationally, Coach Mun’s technical expertise, enthusiasm for the sport, thoughtful encouragement, and detailed guidance help bring out the best in every student.
COACH JEONG
MISOOK JEONG
After years as a top-level competitive archer in South Korea, Coach Jeong now brings more than 20 years of coaching experience to M&J Archery Academy.
She has served as the Women’s National Team Coach for Iran and the Junior National Team Coach for Kuwait. Through these roles, she gained extensive experience developing athletes, strengthening technical skills, and preparing archers for high-level competition.
Coach Jeong holds USA NTS National Training System Level 4 certification, the highest coaching credential in the United States system. She also holds professional coaching credentials from the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (KSPO).
Her passion for archery, patient encouragement, and careful attention to each student’s individual needs create a positive and supportive learning environment. Her detailed coaching approach helps students build confidence, improve their technique, and reach their full potential.
Coach Mun and Coach Jeong have dedicated their careers to developing archers and sharing their expertise with students around the world. Today, they bring that same experience, dedication, and care to students at M&J Archery Academy, and they look forward to helping every archer achieve their personal goals.
